Johannes August Wetzel

Johannes Wetzel is a graduate of Reed College (2004) and Boston College Law School (2010).  Johannes specializes in housing court practice and has won trials and appeals on behalf of New York City tenants.  Johannes has also reached many favorable settlements in housing court including securing repairs, rent abatements, adjustments to the legal regulated rent, and rent overcharge awards.
Prior to joining the firm Johannes was a staff attorney at The Legal Aid Society's Harlem Community Law Office where he represented dozens of low-income tenants living in northern Manhattan as well as in Chinatown, Chelsea, and other neighborhoods.  Johannes also specialized in both federal and local rent subsidies such as Section 8 and FHEPS.
Johannes joined Himmelstein, McConnell, Gribben, Donoghue & Joseph LLP in 2019.
